aBility Controller: Overview

1. There are 20 banks of 6 patches and one “floating” bank.
2. The aBility pedal can send messages on 2 midi channels at the same time. You can toggle between those 2 channels like flipping pages of a book. To toggle between the primary and secondary midi channel press and hold the “previous” (top left) button. The default midi channels are:
Primary send is on: midi channel 1
Secondary send is: midi channel 2
The primary midi channel could be used to control triggering scenes in Ableton while the secondary midi channel can be used to control parameters of plugins or effects. Take note of the additions of “macros” in Ableton 6….. very powerful.
NO PROGRAMMING- WAHOOOOOO!
You don’t have to do any programming in order to use the aBility pedal with Ableton. Once you have your midi interface configured and your cable connected you will be ready to send messages (on midi channel 1 and 2).
